Steve Walker, President

Steve founded ProGreen International, Inc. in 1987. Prior to starting ProGreen, Steve was president and CEO of Appliance Tech Talk Magazine, and Precision Appliance Service. Steve also has extensive experience in marketing, landscaping and construction. Steve's entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on technical experience over the past 30 years helped him pioneer many of the developments you see today in the synthetic turf industry.

Steve has over 30 years of professional experience in research and development, new product development, marketing, and customer service. Steve's marketing experience includes web development, graphics, ad copy, and video production. Steve loves the challenge of creating new products and isn't afraid of getting dirty or learning from the ground up.

Steve is a Denver, CO native and in his leisure time he enjoys golf, hiking, skiing, biking and volunteer work. Steve was a mentor at Colorado Youth at Risk in 2008, and has volunteered for many other organizations.
Steve founded ProGreen International Inc. on the principals that made his previous businesses successful. His hands-on approach, attention to detail and vision has helped ProGreen to thrive, even during times of economic downturn. He quickly understands changes in the economy and the needs of clients, developing highly customized business planning that effectively address the specific needs at hand. ProGreen is the oldest synthetic turf company under the same ownership in America. Bob Wolta, Senior Design Specialist

Bob is our Senior Design and Installation Specialist, he has been with ProGreen since 1999. Bob grew up in Arizona where he attended Arizona State University. Previous to working for ProGreen Bob worked in the construction, solar and golf industries. Bob's strong construction background and attention to detail have helped him to assist hundreds of customers in creating their dream backyards.

Bob has one daughter and one son. His son, Bryan, is ProGreen's Denver Warehouse Manager. In his spare time he enjoys relaxing in the backyard (with a ProGreen putting green), golfing, hiking and skiing. bobwolta@progreen.com



Mark Lee, Design Specialist

Mark grew up in Southern Idaho with a love for the outdoors. Mark studied Horticulture and spent many semesters in the research fields at Utah State University studying soils, bugs, plant materials and turf grasses. Mark has been with ProGreen since 2008. Prior to ProGreen mark was in the landscape industry for over 15 years and has a strong understanding of landscape design. Mark has a thorough understanding of soils, biometeorology and hydrology to help his customers get the most out of their base preparation, giving his customers confidence in their ProGreen installations.

Mark has been married since 1997 and has four busy kids (two boys and two girls). Mark and his family enjoy camping and burning every stick within a quarter mile of their camp site. Mark also enjoys running and playing golf. In his spare time Mark volunteers as a Scout Leader and a Sunday School Teacher. mark@progreen.com



Cassidy Walker, Design Specialist

Cassidy is the daughter of founder and president Steve Walker. She is attending the University of Colorado and working part-time for ProGreen. Cassidy manages a wide range of research support functions, including project planning, questionnaire development, intercept, telephone and online research execution, open-end coding, data processing, preparation of topline results, chart preparation, and implementation of both focus groups and ethnographic interviews. Cassidy enjoys playing soccer, singing, golf, outdoor activities and reading.



Bryan Wolta, Design Specialist/Warehouse Manager

Bryan began his career with ProGreen in 2003 as an installer. His attention to detail and organizational skills enabled him to become the Denver Warehouse Manager and a Design Specialist.

Bryan enjoys relaxing in his backyard (that he set up with a ProGreen dog run) with his dog, Lucy. He also enjoys collecting music, exercising, and reading. bryan@progreen.com




Julie Muzek, Operations & Office Manager

Julie started with ProGreen in 2004. As Steve's sister, she is also a Colorado native. After high school Julie started working for the local telephone company and in the subsequent years she gained experience with other companies in accounting and office management.

Julie has 4 children and one grandchild. Her hobbies include genealogy, reading and spending time with her family. Julie is a 10th generation American and is a member of the Plymouth Family Society. progreen@progreen.com



Joe DeBaisio, Marketing

Joe started with ProGreen in 2005. He is responsible for ProGreen's website, brochures, e-newsletters and photo archives. Joe works closely with Steve Walker on video and graphics projects. Joe received a BA in Communication from the University of Michigan in 1993. He began his marketing and advertising career in 1994 with J. Walter Thompson in Detroit on the Ford Motor Co. Dealer account. Joe enjoys learning about and incorporating the latest software and technology into ProGreen's website.

Joe grew up in Southeastern Michigan and in his spare time he enjoys camping, mountain biking, snowboarding, design, foreign languages, music, film and volunteering. Joe is also a snowboard instructor with the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park, CO. marketing@progreen.com


Santana Miller, Payroll

Santana started with Progreen in 2001. Her first duties were working with the ProGreen dealers. Within a couple of years Santana became the Operations & Office Manager. Santana earned her BS in Accounting in 2005 while working at ProGreen.

She moved to Colorado's Western Slope near the end of 2005, but has continued to be a valuable asset to the company by working remotely doing payroll, commissions, bank/credit card reconciliations, and overseeing ProGreen's books.


Michael Hilliard, Project Consultant

Michael Hilliard has been with ProGreen since 2004. Michael is extremely well-versed in all aspects of landscaping, ranging from simple maintenance to elaborate multi-phase plans. He prides himself in his work and is always professional, courteous, and keeps an open mind to all suggestions. Michael has pioneered many new installation techniques that have saved our customers both time and money.

Previous to ProGreen he has worked in construction, restaurants, and massage therapy. Some of Michael's hobbies include hiking, wakeboarding, boating, and snowboarding. mhilliard@progreen.com
