ProGreen's K9 Series is formulated to repel dog urine. It is the toughest artificial grass made for dogs available and it is also the most affordable. Unlike cement, mulch, and pea gravel, K9 Series grasses will not irritate your pet's paws. Most dogs naturally gravitate towards synthetic grass. In fact, we've had to clean up the synthetic grass in our showroom on occasion when we've had a canine guest! Installations Over Concrete with the Shark™ Drainage Blanket

The ProGreen Under-Drain Dog Turf System is perfect solution for commercial kennels/doggy day care centers or for residences that have a dog pen with a concrete floor. Our Shark™ Drainage Blanket separates the artificial grass from the concrete and directs the waste to a predetermined drainage area to reduce odors. The drainage blanket has the capacity to evacuate over 4 inches of rain per hour. It is also strong enough to be driven over by a car (we recommend clearing the area of the dogs before testing this yourself) with a compressive strength of 25,000 lbs. per square foot.

Don't be fooled by other artificial turf companies that advertise the elimination of pet odors with overpriced anti-microbial agents built into the turf yarn. Pet urine always leaves bacteria behind that will proliferate if left untreated, with or without built in anti-microbial agents that can affect the longevity of the artificial grass.

Frequently Asked Questions About Synthetic Grass Dog Runs

How is the urine and waste handled?

Our Synthetic Grass System is not much different from natural grass. Urine washes through the system into the Drainage Blanket or the specially formulated crushed rock sub-base below. Waste can be removed using your current process, only it tends to be less messy with the ProGreen Grass.

How do you clean synthetic grass?

Rain is usually sufficient. If necessary, spray your synthetic dog run with a hose.

Can you get rid of pet odors?

Yes. ProGreen offers two products that help control pet odor: LEVEL 8 TURFINATOR™ removes pet urine odors from artificial grass and concrete. It is biodegradable, non-toxic, chlorine-free, phosphate-free and environmentally friendly. TURFINATOR™ breaks down the uric crystals found in dog urine. We also offer ABSORB-IFY, a pet deodorizing infill (Infill is a sand-like substance that is brushed into the grass fibers.)

Will my dog think it's real grass?

Dogs absolutely love it! Many dogs will avoid pea gravel, cement or sand. All dogs love grass, including ProGreen Grass.

Will my dog try to dig a hole through the synthetic grass?

Some dogs will try to dig through anything. Our dog run turf is extremely durable with a double-coated backing making it almost impossible to tear - but there can be exceptions. We recommend putting extra border stakes around the perimeter of the dog run to discourage dogs from digging.

Can I install my own dog run?
